Northamptonshire County Youth Orchestra consists of young musicians from across the UK, ranging from 14 – 19 years old and embarks on a European tour every two years. Recent tours have included Italy, Spain, Germany, Czech Republic and Slovakia. In 2020 the orchestra’s planned German tour was cancelled due to Covid, so they are delighted to now have the chance to do the tour in 2022. The orchestra loves coming to Germany, it is such a beautiful, friendly and musical country with excellent venues for the children to perform in, and fantastic supportive audiences who appreciate the efforts that our young musicians have put into their music-making.
