SJAELLA – Vocalensemble (Leipzig)

Homogeneous, individual, light and hearty, exact and free – this richness of facets is what makes up the sound of SJAELLA. The six singers are open to new influences and have the courage to explore musical and stylistic boundaries. Their wide-ranging repertoire ranges from sacral vocal music of the 20th and 21st centuries, folk songs and jazz standards to sophisticated contemporary compositions. SJAELLA has been a regular guest at renowned music festivals and concert halls for many years and has received first prizes at various competitions. Numerous concert tours have taken SJAELLA to Mexico, Great Britain, Luxembourg, Belgium, Finland, Poland, the Czech Republic, Azerbaijan, Hungary, Austria, Italy, Jordan and South Africa.
