Emilia y Paplo (Chile)

Latin American Poetry Between Folklore and Flamenco

Emilia y Pablo, an extraordinary duo from Chile, will be performing at the Bach Monument in Leipzig. Singer Emilia Lazo and guitarist and singer Pablo Cáceres blend the musical traditions of Latin America with contemporary influences, creating a sound that is entirely their own and unmistakable.

Both artists are originally from Chile and now live in Spain. There, they developed their style, which blends Chilean and Andean folklore, flamenco, poetry, and theatrical elements. Their concerts are far more than mere musical performances: they tell stories of origin and memory, of love, nature, and social change, forging a powerful connection between music and storytelling.

With their multi-award-winning productions, Emilia y Pablo have gained international attention in recent years. Expressive vocals, virtuoso guitar playing, and a compelling stage presence characterize their performances. In doing so, they build bridges between cultures and blend traditional sounds with a contemporary musical language.

The audience can look forward to an atmospheric evening full of timbres and emotions. Emilia y Pablo represent a new generation of Latin American artists who are building upon the musical heritage of their homeland with great sensitivity. Their music takes listeners from the landscapes of the Andes to the shores of the Mediterranean, allowing them to experience the unifying power of music across cultural and geographical boundaries.
