Program Change:
In place of the originally announced concert with Emilia y Pablo, which unfortunately cannot take place due to illness, we will welcome the Gabo Naas Trio on August 10, 2026.
Gabo Naas is a musician, composer, and songwriter from Patagonia, Argentina. His musical work is dedicated to the diversity of South American music and translates traditional musical forms into a contemporary musical language—clear, multifaceted, and relevant to today.
His compositions and arrangements are rooted in a deep understanding of Latin American musical traditions. Gabo Naas draws on folkloric rhythms and melodies to develop new musical contexts with a modern sonic aesthetic, without losing the characteristic expression of the respective styles. In this way, he offers his audience fascinating insights into the rich and multifaceted world of South American music.
The repertoire spans a wide musical arc across the continent—from zamba, chacarera, and huayno to carnavalito, chamamé, and samba, all the way to landó and festejo. The various musical traditions blend into a cohesive and vibrant overall concept.
Together with David Hagen on double bass and David Millán on drums, Gabo Naas presents his compositions in a chamber music trio setting. The interplay among the three musicians creates space for subtle timbres, intense interaction, and freedom of improvisation.
