Bandonegro is regarded as one of the most exciting ensembles on the international tango scene. The quartet combines the traditions of Argentine tango with the influences of Tango Nuevo, creating a distinctive musical style shaped by original compositions and elements of Jazz. Their performances are distinguished by remarkable virtuosity, musical precision, and a captivating stage presence.
The musicians have performed in more than 30 countries across four continents and have appeared on renowned stages throughout Europe, the United States, Japan, and Argentina. In Buenos Aires, the birthplace of tango, Bandonegro enjoys particular recognition. Their music has been featured several times during the finals of the Buenos Aires Tango World Cup, the world’s most prestigious tango competition.
Bandonegro has released five albums to date and has collaborated with leading artists from the Latin American music scene. Their most recent album, released in early 2025, was recorded at the legendary Fortmusic Studio in Buenos Aires. Among the guest artists featured on the recording was Daniel “Pipi” Piazzolla, grandson of the legendary Astor Piazzolla.
